Greetings from the Chamber! I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer! It's hard to believe how quickly July has flown by. Here at the Chamber, we've had a busy month working on Board elections, preparing budgets, planning exciting fall events, and continuing to promote our beautiful town. There is always something happening, and we're grateful to be part of a community that cares so deeply about supporting one another.
The Texas heat has certainly made itself known lately, and every bit of rain has been a welcome blessing. While I enjoy the long days of summer, I must admit that fall is my favorite season. There's something special about cooler mornings, community gatherings, football games, festivals, and all the excitement that comes with a new season.
As summer begins to wind down and families prepare for the start of a new school year, I encourage everyone to remember our local businesses. Whether you're shopping for school supplies, grabbing lunch, filling up your gas tank, or picking up a last-minute gift, every dollar spent locally helps strengthen our community. I was in Walmart the other day as they were stocking the school supply aisles, and the smell of fresh wooden pencils instantly brought back so many childhood memories.
