See a voting machine in action, register to vote, and take home helpful voter re- sources so you feel confident and prepared for the No vember elections. A Children’s Voting Table will also be available, making this a great opportunity for the whole family to learn how democracy works.
SIMMONS,LEMONS,ADAMSREUNIONSET HALLETTSVILLE — The Simmons, Lemons, and Adams annual family reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Blase’s Hall in Hallettsville. Blase’s is located nine miles east of Shiner and approximately 3 1/2 miles west of Hallettsville. Any descendants of the Simmons, Lemons or Adams that reside in Lavaca, Victoria, Harris, Travis, Bexar, Fayette, Dallas, Wharton, Caldwell, and other surrounding Texas counties are en- couraged to attend. Please bring a dessert, a raffle gift (ex tras for our prize walk), vegetables, yourself and others. The contest is “It’s Shoe Time!” Members will be judged, and four winners will receive monetary gifts. Scholarship winners are announced during the family reunion.
