HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE OPEN SCHULENBURG — The Fayette County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is open for sales and donation dropoffs every Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 825 N. 1996SEALYFBCHAMPSTOHOLDREUNION SEALY — The 1996 Sealy Tiger Football State Championship team will hold its 30 year reunion Friday, Oct. 2 at the old junior high gym starting at 5 p.m. All former coaches, players, cheerleaders, trainers, administrators and support groups are invited to attend.

FAYETTEVILLE'S CHURCH FEAST SET FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will hold their annual picnic on Sunday, Sept. 6, at St. John’s Recreation Hall in Fayetteville. A Mass with Polka music will be held at 10 a.m. with local musicians taking part in the Mass. There will be a barbecue beef, pork and sausage dinner served at 10:30 a.m. A dine in and a drive-thru line will be starting at 10:30 a.m. Area musicians will provide live music starting at 11 a.m. under the pavilion. Barbecue and sausage burgers will be sold beginning at 1:30 p.m. A country auction including quilts, antiques, coins, etc. will be held at 1:30 p.m. Bingo begins 2 p.m. Kolaches and other pastries will be available throughout the day. Other events include kid’s games, silent auction, country store, cake wheel, and ice-cold refreshments. In addition, raffle tickets will be available for $10 each or six for $50.

COLUMBUS — Come to a hands-on, family-friendly program with The League of Women Voters of South Central Texas (LWVSCTX) Saturday, Aug. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nesbitt Memorial Library at 529 Washington St. in Columbus. See a voting machine in action, register to vote, and take home helpful voter re- sources so you feel confident and prepared for the No vember elections. A Children’s Voting Table will also be available, making this a great opportunity for the whole family to learn how democracy works.

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH PLANNED COLUMBUS — The annual Colorado County Back to School Bash event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. at the Columbus First United Methodist Church Family Life Center at 419 Washington St. in Columbus. Everyone is invited to join in the family fun, especially those with school-aged children. Personal hygiene items will be offered as well as some general school supplies. This fun and free family event will feature educational booths, resources and giveaways, games, door prizes, and snacks for participants.

ST. MARY PLANS 76TH ANNUAL BAZAAR

ELLINGER — St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger will hold its 76th annual bazaar Sunday, Aug. 23 at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Community Center in Ellinger. There will be a drive-thru and dine-in fried chicken and sausage dinner with serving beginning at 10:30 a.m. at $15 per plate. A prize drawing will be held with the grand prize of $5,000 Visa gift card and 47 additional prizes. Activities in the hall include a silent auction beginning at 9 a.m. and live auction at 1:30 p.m. Live music by Los Banditos featuring Tim Kulhanek from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to outreach efforts.
