SEALY - Following an in - vestigation into a recent organized cargo theft that happened in the 5000 block of Interstate 10, the Sealy Police Department arrested two suspects for the cargo theft.
The investigation focused on about 32,000 pounds of precious metal valued at about $272,000 that was stolen. A team effort between Sealy PD investigators, patrol officers, K9 units and the business worked together to help bring about the arrests. Officers stopped two suspects as they at - tempted to leave the property with the stolen metals. An 18-wheeler was used, just like another cargo theft from the same business ear - lier this month. der Phore, 36, were arrested and charged with Theft of Cargo Val - ued at $200,000 or More, a First Degree Felony. Sealy PD says the investigation is still active and more charges are expected to be filed.
