The Bellville High School football team was successful Aug. 28 on the opening week of football with a win against Robinson High School by a final score of 36-35. Even though it was hard fought, they’ll be putting a W in the win column and will be starting a trend of what will more than likely be many more wins throughout the season with the way this team has been playing.
Quarterback Knox Bauerschlag was a perfect four for four passing with 138 passing yards and and one touchdown. Other top performers were Lukas Hurtado with 12 carries for 103 yards and one touchdown as well as Travis Turner with 19 carries for 93 yards.
For a team that’s known for running the football, they also brought out the passing game, so it’s even more baggage for other teams to handle with a team that already knows how to win.
