FAYETTEVILLE — Fayette Savings Bank (FSB) presented a $10,000 check to the Fayetteville Baseball Alumni Association (FBAA) recently to support continued additions to their baseball facility.
Fayetteville Baseball Alumni Association President Josh Vitek stated, “The current project underway is construction of three indoor batting cages, complete with artificial turf, netting, and more. The middle cage can be converted into space for players to do drills like fielding grounders, along with mounds for pitchers to practice their craft.”
FSB Manager Sarah Bertsch said, “Contributing to the great work the association has done and continues to do at the ballpark fits right into our wheelhouse of supporting our community.” Bertsch continued, “The complex, like our school, offers kids of all ages a top-notch facility to play and practice at. It truly is something the whole community can rally around and be extremely proud of.”
Volunteer-led, 100% of all donations and sponsorships go directly back into the facility. to keep the programs going – season after season.
“It’s amazing to see what the association and the community have built and continue to improve upon,” says FSB CEO and President Wade Mozisek. “We purchased a tract of land right across the road from the ballpark with plans to build a new banking center there. So I guess we can say we could be ‘neighbors’ in the future”.
