SEALY — The 1996 Sealy Tiger Football State Championship team will hold its 30 year reunion Friday, Oct. 2 at the old junior high gym starting at 5 p.m. All former coaches, players, cheerleaders, trainers, administrators and support groups are invited to attend.

LA GRANGE — Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, Second Chance Emporium in La Grange will accept donations Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. The donation drop-off area will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
NUVFD TO HOLD CELEBRATION
NEW ULM — The New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 75th Annual Celebration Sunday, Sept. 20 at New Ulm Firemen’s Park in New Ulm. The event will be held, rain or shine. Seating is available in the covered dining area. Barbecue beef and pork will be served beginning at 11 a.m. Adult plates are $15 and $8 for children, 6-12. Tea is included with the meal. There will be a drive-thru line for plates to go at 10:30 a.m. and meat sales to go at 10 a.m. at $20 per pound. The event will include an auction at 1 p.m. with proceeds going to firefighting equipment. There will also be a silent auction. Other events include raffle drawing after auction, Moon walk, kids’ games and cake walk/plant Bingo.
FALL FESTIVAL PLANNED
INDUSTRY — Industry Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will hold its Fall Festival Sunday, Sept. 13 at Industry Firemen’s Hall in Industry. The pork steak dinner is $15 per plate with serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., dine in or drive thru. Homemade desserts will be available. A live auction will begin at 12:30 p.m. The event will also include a silent auction and children activ- ities. There will be a raffle drawing after the auction for a Kubota Zero Turn Mower and other prizes. Music will be provided by Ricky Canik.

MENTZ — St. Roch Catholic Church will hold its 172nd annual Mentz Picnic Sunday, Oct. 4. Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Barbecue beef, pork and sausage will be served at 11 a.m. at $15 for dine in and $20 for plates-togo. Hamburgers will be available at 2 p.m. Live auction will begin at 1 p.m. The event will include plenty of kids activities, country store, Bingo and raffle.
