LA GRANGE — At its October membership meeting, the Fayette County Fair Association recognized area nonprofit organizations receiving donations through its annual Queen’s Court season ticket sales program.
Through this initiative, the fair invests directly in the community while providing young women with opportunities to serve as ambassadors for local non- profit organizations.
Each year, contestants compete for the titles of Fayette County Fair Queen and Court representatives while raising awareness and support for organizations throughout Fayette County.
Ten percent of sponsored queen’s court season ticket sales is donated back to the nonprofits represented by the contestants.
This year, the program awarded $5,860 in nonprofit donations, with $4 from ev- season ticket sold going back into the community.
The 2026–2027 donations were awarded to the following organizations: •Flatonia Lions Club — $1,868, represented by BeBe Pavlica, 2026–2027 Fayette County Fair queen.
Kyla Faith Memorial
— $1,792, represented by Arianna Vincent, queen first runner-up.
•Gardenia E. Jans- sen Animal Shelter - $1,100, represented by Cloie Ahlschlager, queen second runner-up.
•La Grange Optimist Club — $992, represented by Nicole Vahalik.

In addition to supporting nonprofit organizations, the Fayette County Fair Association invests in the contestants’ futures through academic scholarships. Contestants compete for scholarships funded through season ticket and carnival pass sales, with awards based on a progressive scale in which greater sales result in larger scholarship amounts.
For 2026, $8,400 in academic scholarship awards will be presented to contestants.
Looking back over the past five years, from 2022 through 2026, the Fayette County Fair Association has awarded a combined $88,477.47 in nonprofit do nations and academic scholarships.
This total includes $43,877.47 in donations to
nonprofit organizations and $44,600 in scholarships awarded to contestants.
These contributions re- flect the fair association's continued commitment to giving back, supporting local organizations, and enery couraging the next generation of community leaders.
The Fayette County Fair Association extends its appreciation to the contestants, their families, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who purchases season tickets and carnival passes.
