The road hummed under the car tires. David Morris, Rusty Klaus, and I were on a road trip. For them it was a site-seeing tour. For me it was a small step for mankind but a major step for Herman Willie. The plan was mine. We were headed to northern Montana. The Texas Aggie spring semester was done and my buddies were taking two weeks to lollygag before spending the rest of the summer at hard labor. My personal agenda required me to leave Aggieland (TAMU) early and take a job with an oil patch lease service.

The county-wide feral hog contest is being held to give landowners, producers, and sportsmen an opportunity to control feral hogs in Fayette County. The feral hog population causes economic losses to Fayette County Agriculture producers through crop destruction, pasture and livestock losses, and environmental damage.

FC spring coyote control contest announced
The Fayette County SPRING Coyote Control Program began on Jan. 2 and ends on April 28. The contest is being held to give landowners, producers, and sportsmen an opportunity to assist in controlling coyotes in Fayette County. Coyotes cause predation on livestock and result in economic losses to agricultural producers in the county.
