FC Habitat selects partner family for new build
LA GRANGE - Fayette County Habitat for Humanity (Habitat) announced the selection of the partner family for their milestone 10th home build. This year, the honor goes to Johnathan Wright, a dedicated single father of four children. Despite this, Wright works tirelessly at two jobs to provide a stable home for his family. Currently employed as the lead prep chef at Dell Seaton Medical Center at the University of Texas, he commutes from his apartment in La Grange to Austin. On his days off, Wright works part-time as the assistant cook at Schulenburg Regency. Currently, Wright shares a two-bedroom apartment with his four children aged 7, 11, 14, and 17, and is excited to be moving into a home with adequate space for the five of them. 07/12/2023 23:00

We never wore bike helmets (you should wear one), we drank out of the garden hose, most of us had BB guns, and we stayed outdoors and played all day until it was time to come home for supper. And, for the most part, we were an unsupervised lot. You might say we were “free-range” kids. I think it made us healthy. 07/12/2023 23:00
