Schulenburg and Brazos kick off volleyball season with scrimmage
SCHULENBURG – The Schulenburg High School volleyball team hosted a scrimmage August 4 at Shorthorns Gym that included teams such as Brazos, Halletsville, and La Grange. The basketball court was separated into two halves with volleyball courts and each team played 25 minute scrimmages, then would switch to their corresponding court to play a different team.

TGCA Pre-Season Volleyball Poll marks three area teams top 10
After making it all the way to the state tournament last year, Bellville (Class 4A), Columbus (Class 3A), and Schulenburg High School (Class 2A) volleyball teams have cracked the top 10 in the TGCA (Texas Girls Coaches Association) 2023 Pre-Season poll. This comes as no surprise with stellar seasons in ‘22, along with elite personnel still remaining for all three teams.
