IBAT announces James Doak Hartley to board of directors
AUSTIN — The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) announced the addition of James Doak Hartley, president of Industry Bancshares Inc., to its board of directors for 2018-19.
Hartley was elected to this position during the association’s 44th annual convention held late September in San Antonio.
Hartley began his nearly 35-year community banking career upon college graduation. In his current position, which he was elected to in 2017, he also serves as a board member for Industry Bancshares Inc., Industry State Bank, FNB Bellville, CSB Buffalo, Fayetteville Bank, FNB Shiner and Bank of Brenham. Prior to joining Industry Bancshares Inc., Hartley was president at Industry State Bank.
A Columbus native, he spent the first 25 years of his career at Columbus State Bank where he climbed the ladder from bookkeeper and teller to his final position of president as well as vice president of the bank’s board. Additionally, he served as vice president of Central Texas Bankshare Holdings Inc., vice president of Colorado County Investment Holdings Inc. and vice president of Colorado County Real Properties Inc.
