BELLVILLE — The Austin County Regional Special Response Team (SRT) executed search warrants and an arrest warrant at a property located in the 4000 block of Coshatte Road, in Bellville on Nov. 29. These warrants were the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation led by the Westside Narcotics Task Force (HIDTA).
Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek says that CIT Investigator Jeremy Castleberry applied for and received a grant through the Fayette Community Foundation and the Red Door Fund for Mental Health.
WEIMAR — Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Austin and Colorado counties is partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife to host a Feathers, Furs, and Farming program on Saturday, Dec. 15. The focus of this program will center around Wildlife Tax Valuation. Two general CEUs will be offered for TDA Pesticide Applicators.
WEIMAR — A $50,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and the City of Weimar will enable the Weimar Volunteer Fire Department to buy new breathing equipment to help protect its first responders from smoke and dan gerous gases at emergency scenes.
