WILLIAM HENRY “BILL” STOLLE
WILLIAM HENRY “BILL” STOLLE

William Henry 'Bill' Stolle, age 72, passed away on October 14, 2025 at his home in Columbus, Texas.
He was born to Wilbert Edwin Otto and Margaret Aline (Ilse) Stolle on July 24, 1953 in Weimar, Texas.
On March 27, 2004, he married Cynthia Irwin Sutton.
Bill earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Lutheran University and was a proud member of the Omega Tau Fraternity. He worked as a salesman for Colorado County Oil for 35 years, retiring in 2024. He most enjoyed raising his prized white tail deer for over 15 years, as well as hunting with family each year in Alpine and on the family land here in Columbus. He also enjoyed duck hunting and alligator in Eagle Lake. His hobbies included watching TCU football, humoring his wife while she supported her beloved Chicago Cubs & Chicago Bears and bantering with his daughter Cydney on just about any topic. His favorite thing was his family and spending time together. He will be most remembered for his very dry sense of humor and strong belief in the “one day at a time” philosophy. He took life as it came, never complained, just enjoyed every moment. He could also name just about every tree type in the county and identify birds like a pro. He loved the outdoors.
Bill was preceded in death by: his parents, Wilbert and Aline Stolle and his brother-in-law, Billie Mitchell.
Bill is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cynthia Stolle of Columbus, Texas; daughter, Cydney Materazzi and husband Max of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; sister, Carol Stolle Mitchell of Columbus, Texas; niece, Christie Whittaker and husband Jon; nephew, Eric Mitchell and wife Kristina; and beloved pets, Teddy, Tito and Jack.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Gigee officiating. Visitation was on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, also at Henneke Funeral Home.
