Gary Wayne Furman, age 65, of Brenham, TX., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, TX., after a short illness. He was being cared for by Compasses- Texas Hospice.

He was born January 26, 1960, in Milford, CT., a son of the late Henry Palmer Furman and Joyce Carol Furman of New Ulm, TX.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Ross Robert Furman.

Gary is survived by his three sisters, Sharon Anderson and her husband Jimmy Dale, Dawn Vaughn and her husband Gary, and Suzanne Cejka and her husband Terry. He also leaves behind four nieces, six nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services were held in Somerville, TX., Saturday, Nov. 15 with viewing at the Strickland Funeral Home. Graveside services were performed by Pastor Corby Brizendine at Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank all the friend and family members for attending Gary’s services.
