RONALD CHARLES POLASEK

RONALD CHARLES POLASEK

August 11, 1955 — April 8, 2026

Ronald Charles Polasek, lovingly known as Ronnie, was born on August 11, 1955, in La Grange, Texas, to Charlie and Lorine (Malota) Polasek, and passed away on April 8, 2026, in the same community he called home all his life. He was a Christian man whose life was marked by faith, hard work, generosity, and devotion to the people and places he loved. Ronnie’s earthly journey ended following a farming accident, but the legacy he leaves behind is one of strength, kindness, and steadfast service.

Ronnie was a graduate of La Grange High School, and from an early age he developed the practical skills and strong work ethic that would define his life. He spent his years working as a dedicated heavy equipment and farm machinery mechanic, a trade he took great pride in and performed with exceptional skill. Ronnie worked with Beck Landfill, Krossfire Exploration, and Top Notch Molding, and in every place, he served, he earned a reputation as a dependable man who could fix just about anything. He was handy, wise, and generous, and he never hesitated to share his time, knowledge, or labor with others who needed help.

Ronnie’s life was deeply rooted in the land and in the values of ranching, farming, and country living. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and cooking, and he especially treasured the simple blessings of time spent with family and friends. He was known to many as a regular at the Coffee Drinking Breakfast Club at Hruska’s, where fellowship, conversation, and good company were part of the rhythm of his days. Ronnie also gave many years of faithful service as an active member and current treasurer of the Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department for nearly 50 years, a commitment that reflected his love for his community and his willingness to serve others without hesitation.

Those who knew Ronnie will remember his steady presence, his quick smile, and the way he could be counted on in times of need. His family and friends knew him as a man who could be counted on for sound advice, practical help, and a kind heart. He was the kind of man who made life better simply by being there, and his influence will be felt for generations.

Ronnie is survived by his significant other, Angie Becka, and by his family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. Additional survivors include his sister, Judy Mikulenka; his brothers, Donald Polasek and wife, Beatrice, James Polasek and wife, Linda, and Raymond and wife, Andrea; and his sister, Darla Kubala, and husband, Matt. He is also lovingly remembered by Angie's children, Karen Stibora and husband, Kevin, Donnie Becka and wife, Wendy, Russell Becka and wife, Tiffany, Courtney Coufal and husband, Craig, and Shelley Marek and husband, Keith. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, as well as Blaine Bird, who held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by Roxie, his furry companion, who brought him comfort and affection.

Ronnie’s life was a blessing to all who knew him. He was a devoted son, brother, partner, friend, and servant to his community. His hands were always ready to work, his heart was always ready to give, and his faith gave him strength through every season of life. Though his passing leaves a deep emptiness, those who love him take comfort in the promise of God’s eternal care and in the many memories of a life well lived.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his wisdom, and his unwavering dedication to family, work, and community. Ronnie lived with purpose, served with honor, and loved deeply. May he rest in the peace of the Lord, and may his memory continue to be a source of comfort and strength to all who were blessed to know him.
