Hometown Goods: another local treasure hunt

COLUMBUS - Grand Oaks Antiques and Gifts owner, Beth Easterling, recently an - nounced the opening of another multi-business complex called Hometown Goods. Located at 1008 Milam St. in downtown Columbus, Hometown Goods will house several vendors sell- ing a wide variety of goods. You will find a ladies' boutique, children's toys and games, baby and toddler clothes, miniatures including doll house furniture, and vintage smalls. If you are looking for furniture you will be pleasantly surprised to find a selection of antique French & English furniture and for the more modern approach to fur- niture, you will find a display of industrial furniture. The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is conducting a ribbon-cutting at Hometown Goods on Thursday, Sept. 29 at noon. Stop by to en- joy refreshments and door priz -

Letter to the Editor

Hello, my name is Jody Primrose the Livestock Superintendent of the Colorado County Fair Association, Inc. I would thank everyone who came out and supported the Colorado County Ju- nior Livestock Show this year. It has been a year that has exceeded all expectations. The livestock chairmen and committee members stepped up and worked hard to put together a great livestock show. The exhibitors all worked hard and have raised some great projects. The sponsors did a great job by financially supporting our exhibitors so that they could put on a great livestock show, and the buyers came out in full force and supported the youth of the Colorado County Junior Livestock Show.

Leonard Boettcher (LB) sidled toward me. We were tying wires for Brown Electric in a new school building, and it was Friday. He waited for a private moment when Randy Stancik, Space Monkey Girndt, Larry Urban, and his brother Edward weren’t paying attention.
