J.K. Dobbins drafted by the Baltimore Ravens
J.K. Dobbins is going to be back to wearing some purple and gold.
And the Baltimore Ravens just got a few thousand extra fans in Central Texas.
Dobbins, who from 2013-2016 was a star running back for the La Grange Leopards and over the last three seasons became the second leading rusher all-time at Ohio State, was drafted in the second round Friday night by the Ravens, who share the same colors as the Leps.
He becomes the highest drafted La Grange football player since his cousin Johnnie Johnson was selected in the first round (17th overall) back in 1980 by the Rams.
Going into last week’s draft Dobbins was considered a possible first rounder as well but fell into the late second round. He was the fifth running back taken in the draft.
