The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month and as such Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek is pleased to report that from April 20 through the 22 a number of deputies and local police department officers were able to attend the Texas Crisis Intervention Team Association conference in Sugar Land. LA GRANGE - The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry Monday, May 15 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7 p.m. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is Larry Waddell grew up in Bernardo. His early influences in music were Elvis Presley and Earnest Tubb because these were his dad’s favorites. His brother and he started a band when he was 14 and even recorded a 45 record. BELLVILLE – Travis Koehn, Criminal District Attorney for Austin County, announced that a jury sentenced Damien Eveline, 44, of Sealy, to 60 years in the Texas Department of Corrections.
