The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month and as such Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek is pleased to report that from April 20 through the 22 a number of deputies and local police department officers were able to attend the Texas Crisis Intervention Team Association conference in Sugar Land. The conference provides an opportunity to network with other law enforcement agencies and mental/behavioral health providers to share and learn from each other’s approaches to handling mental health crises and treatment in their different areas. 05/10/2023 23:00

LA GRANGE - The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry Monday, May 15 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7 p.m. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is Larry Waddell grew up in Bernardo. His early influences in music were Elvis Presley and Earnest Tubb because these were his dad’s favorites. His brother and he started a band when he was 14 and even recorded a 45 record. BELLVILLE – Hats and hospitality are big in Texas but during the Derby party at High Noon Saloon in Bellville on May 6 was even bigger! The High Noon Saloon was packed for the second year in a row with a Run for the Roses Kentucky Derby Party.
