BELLVILLE — District Judge Jeff Steinhauser handed down the harshest possible punishment on August 8, 2023 to a former parole officer from Victoria, Texas, for the sexual abuse of a child that occurred in Wallis, in 2015.
Turtle Wing receives grant

Turtle Wing Foundation was recently granted $25,000 from Texas Mutual to be used for therapeutic, educational, and recreational scholarships for those with learning challenges in rural areas. These funds will be used to directly fund services, ranging from speech therapy to tutoring to inclusive dance, for those whose families may not be able otherwise to afford the services.

SEALY - The Vets traveled to Sealy to face the Brewers in the semi-finals of the playoffs. The Brewers jumped out to a 10-1 lead and never looked back. Single runs in the sixth and seventh ended the game for a final score of 12-2.
