Early voting got underway Tuesday across the Tri-County without straight-ticket party voting for the first time in decades as the eyes of Republicans and Democrats across the nation fix their gaze on the race in Texas’ Tenth Congressional District, which includes all of Austin, Colorado, and Fayette Counties.
Utilizing a mechanism under Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott’s executive order mandating face masks in public across the state, the county judges of Colorado and Austin County this week exempted their counties from face mask and other requirements of the executive orders due to falling numbers of COVID-19 cases.
