Fayetteville boy’s head to Alamodome for state tournament

The Fayetteville High School boy's basketball team has earned their spot to the big dance as they have qualified for the UIL State Basketball Tournament at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The Lions recently beat Wells High School by a final score of 73-59 in order to get there. Schulenburg softball starts season around .500 mark

The Schulenburg High School softball team has started the season at about even .500 as they recently defeated Snook High School 8-3 and Yorktown High School 11-1. The Lady Horns have shown flashes of great po - tential and have proven that they can put their bats on the ball, along with clean things up in the field as well. Schulenburg is led by head coach Gilbert Price, who has a great knowledge not only for the game, but sports in gener - al as he also helps coach football.
