COLUMBUS – The Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley met on Nov. 9 at the Colorado County Courthouse in Columbus where the theme was 'Gratitude.' Mazie Leftwich, president of the Wellness Council, began the meeting with gratitude toward those who have played a part in the formation of the Wellness Council. Colorado County Judge Ty Prause as well asMental Health Deputy Andrew Lopez, were recognized as vital to the progress toward the mental health and wellness of Colorado County.

Tri-county area rebuffs State Prop 13
Proposition 13 was the only state proposition out of 14 propositions that Austin, Colorado and Fayette counties voted against. State Proposition 13 would have allowed judges to mandatorily retire at 79 instead of 75 and would have increased the minimum retirement age for judges from 70 to 75.

Ease Stress, Anxiety, & Depression with a Vitamin
Stress, anxiety, and depression appear to be epidemic in our modern culture. Recent studies reveal that nearly 1 in 4 Americans are currently taking prescription mental health medication. Reasons for this increased societal anxiety may be difficult to determine. Many blame demonic social media, poor nutrition, and pathetic sleep habits. Some believe the lowered stigma regarding mental health issues may play a role. Include with this a toxic political climate, frightening current events, and the state of world affairs. I would also add an increasing lack of genuine spiritual connection, declining faith in God and subsequent shrinking church attendance as factors. As our once stable societal foundation is shaken in this country, many find them selves stressed, anxious, and depressed. While simple answers to hard problems are difficult to some by, here is something that might offer significant help vi tamin B12. BELLVILLE - If you plan on using a state-limited use or state-restricted use pesticide, such as Grazon P+D, 2 4-D, Weedmas - ter, etc., and need a license, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County will be hosting several Private Applica - tor Training classes during 2024 at the Austin County Extension Office, 800 E Wendt St. in Bell - ville. Books and study materials for the course may be purchased ahead of time at the Extension Of - fice for $50.00. A registration fee of $10.00 will be charged for the training.
