$1 million worth of cocaine seized in routine traffic stop

FLATONIA — Nine vacuum sealed bricks of cocaine, valued at $1 million, were confiscated during a routine traffic stop last Thursday on Interstate 10 near Flatonia.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, Drug Interdiction Investigator David  Smith stopped a 2009 Volkswagen passenger car traveling westbound on I-10 just before the Flatonia exit for a traffic violation at approximately 9:45 a.m.
