FC Narcotics K-9 Unit seizes 182 pounds of marijuana
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Canine Unit, Sgt. Randy Thumann and K9 partner Kolt, stopped a Ford F-150 on May 13 on Interstate 10 at the 665 mile-marker at approximately 11:30 a.m. for a traffic violation.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, after Thumann spoke to the driver, he became suspicious of him transporting illegal narcotics when the driver was extremely nervous.
When Thumann was given consent to search the vehicle, he deployed his canine Kolt to conduct an exterior sweep of the vehicle.
