COLUMBUS — Colorado County Deputies were dispatched to Mikeska’s BBQ at 4053 US Highway 90 in reference to a burglary alarm on Oct. 23. While en route, Deputies observed a vehicle traveling from the direction of the business on US Highway 90 toward Columbus. Deputy Tyler Pavlicek stopped the vehicle for a defective equipment violation while Deputy Zane Blaha continued to the business.
COLUMBUS — Colorado County Commissioner's Court met for their regular meeting on Oct 23. Judge Ty Prause read a resolution of recognition and appreciation to Susan Chandler of the Nesbitt Memorial Library for her diligence in coding the information to document the establishment of Colorado County. The resolution read in part: Susan Chandler of the Nesbitt Memorial Library shall be recognized for her diligence in locating the information to document the establishment date of Colorado County.
GLIDDEN — The Colorado Coun- ty Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the Westside Narcotics Task Force on Oct. 20 in reference to an active investigation at a residence in Glidden.
