Services for William “Bill” Emil Skrivanek, 76, will be held Friday, Feb. 1 at noon at Knesek Bros. Hwy 36 Chapel in Sealy. Visitation will be held tonight (Thursday, Jan. 31) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Knesek Bros. Hwy 36 Chapel. Burial will follow at Field Store Cemetery in Waller. Skrivanek died Jan. 26. He was born Feb. 2, 1942, in Houston, the son of Emil “E.W.” and Pauline Gajdosik Skrivanek. He graduated from Cy-Fair High School and attended college at Sam Houston State University and University of Houston. Skrivanek worked in the steel industry, primarily with Cameron Iron Works (later became Cooper/Wyman-Gordon), as a quality control inspector. He retired in 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earnest Alfred and Alvin Roy Gregurek; and sister, Vera Mae Skrivanek Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Gaye Nell Jones Skrivanek; sons, William Skrivanek Jr., Michael Wayne Skrivanek and wife Kelly, and Paul Skrivanek and wife Michelle; brother, Michael Joe Skrivanek; brother-in-law, Carl Jones and wife Betty; granddaughters, Taylor Skrivanek Magnesio and husband Joey, and Savannah and Samantha , Skrivanek; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
