Appraisal Board update on Barlow
COLORADO COUNTY - Upon further investigation and other facts coming in after the Nov. 17 deadline, it was found that board member Toby Barlow was not dismissed and replaced from the board. "Mr. Barlow was not removed from the Colorado County Appraisal District Board. His term was simply up and Weimar ISD supported the candidate that was approved by the Weimar City Counsel the previous week," commented Weimar ISD Superintendent Jon Wunderlich. Wun-derlich further states, "Weimar ISD appreciates the service of Mr. Barlow and all those that volunteer their time to support the entities of Colorado County.'

Kolkhorst named to elite legislative budget board
AUSTIN – Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has appointed Senator Lois W. Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) to the Legislative Budget Board (LBB). Senator Kolkhorst replaces retiring Senator Jane Nelson on the powerful board which is comprised of the Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the House, as well as four lawmakers from the Senate and House.
