Past, Present, and …
Not too long ago in the very distant past, the week of Christmas was filled with excitement. The expectation of getting a new toy or going over to Grandma and Grandpa Jones on Christmas Eve to see all the relatives was beyond my happy place. Over the years and a number of reality checks in life I must wonder, not with as much excitement, if future Christmas’s have a chance to dazzle the imagination of my once easily dazzled mind. Do you detect a “Bah, Humbug!” moment?
“Worth Waiting For”
Yesterday I bought a Christmas tree at the hardware store. I thought it was a good day to do it both because I’d heard the rumors of Christmas tree shortages and because it would keep me away from my email for more than an hour—a near record in the last two weeks.
State lowers price cap for power providers
The state’s Public Utility Commission last week lowered the maximum allowable wholesale price for electricity by almost half, from $9,000 per megawatt hour to $5,000.
