Mike Albers named THSCA Region 5-3A Coach of the Year
Columbus head girls basketball coach Mike Albers was recently named the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) coach of the year for the 2022-2023 season. It was well deserved as Albers earned his 900th career win along with a state tournament appearance in the same season.

Tri-county volleyball players were recognized for their performance on the hardwood and recently made the 2022-2023 Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Volleyball All-State Team. Making the list in Class 1A is Kynley Hurst (Fayetteville), Brooklyn Jaeger (Fayetteville), Mallory Krause (Round Top-Carmine), and Maggie Salinas (Round Top-Carmine).

Another year with many State Track Qualifiers from the Tri-County
Each of our three counties are known for sending a whole bunch of runners to state track and this year is no different. The UIL state track tournament will be held at Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium located at the University of Texas. The tournament goes from May 11 to May 13.
