All parts work together

When I was a child, I was fascinated with my thumb. I sucked it almost constantly for comfort from the imagined problems in my life. At least until I was 5. That was when my dad threatened to make me sleep with the chickens if I didn’t stop. Needless to say, I had a few teary nights, but I stopped. His ploy worked!

No time to panic

No time to panic

Mom took me swimming when I was a little guy, I guess around six years of age. I don’t remember my exact age, but I remember what happened that day like it was yesterday. I never had formal swimming lessons. Mom tried to teach me but I sunk like a rock. She took me out to deeper waters so we could get in some serious sink or swim lessons. She told me to hang on to the sides and not let go until she was ready. While she was talking to someone else, I practiced my paddle kicks and grew bored.
