Where's the pot of gold?
Legend has it that there is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Could it be just in those bushes? There doesn’t seem to be any Leprechauns around, either! This beautiful rainbow appeared on Sept. 1 near Columbus. Banner Press photo by John Jones 09/20/2023 23:00

We’re Bustin’ Outa Here, Tonight
Using information provided by some of the previously published “Footprints of Fayette” articles, we learn that the “old” Fayette County Jail, which stands at the corner of Crockett and South Main Street in La Grange, was completed in 1882, at a cost of $25,000. The stone used in the construction was hauled from a quarry near Muldoon. 09/13/2023 23:00

Kayak of Death – Or How I Lost my Shoe in Michigan
Funny things happen to me. Some time ago my wife and I were invited to visit some dear friends in Michigan. Steve & Stacey had recently moved into a lovely farmhouse out in the woods of the Wolverine State. The thrilling activities we enjoyed on our visit included what I will call a wild and dangerous kayaking adventure. 09/13/2023 23:00
