I must have money!

I must have money!

I don’t know about you, but my parents didn’t teach me how to manage money. It was something, like religion, you just didn’t talk about. It just was. When Dianne and I married some 45 years ago, I found out her family didn’t teach her how to manage money either. Sure, we worked to make money for things like gas, which was a lot cheaper then now, clothes, run-around cash, and the like. We were not encouraged to deposit money into a savings account. Of course, back then, Certificate of Deposits carried an excellent interest rate, as I found out later in life. We were not encouraged to invest in stock. That was too foreign. Just think if I would have invested in Coke or a couple of the famous tech companies that were just starting back then. Forget about balancing a checkbook! I must have money; I still got check blanks!
