BERNARDO – The Bernardo Volunteer Fire Department held its annual fundraiser on July 21 at the St. Roch Catholic Church hall in Mentz . The crowd was elbow to elbow eating barbecue chicken, sausage, and all the trimmings, then waited for the much-anticipated auction.

FC 4-Hers compete in Roundup
COLLEGE STATION – Numerous Fayette County 4-Hers competed in the 2024 Texas 4-H Roundup June 4-6 at Texas A&M University in College Station. Texas 4-H Roundup is the pinnacle event for all of Texas 4-H. Senior 4-H members compete in approximately 50 diverse competitions during the weeklong event. The majority of the events require each individual or team to qualify at the county and district levels.
